Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Sheffield United (spits) beat Leeds and got the 2nd spot from them...

I hope Leeds come up

Anyway are their any players there who could improve the squad?

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Supposedly we were looking at John Fleck at Sheff Utd in January who is a combative midfielder. Never seen him so don’t know how good he is.

John McGinn at Villa is another similar Scot that was talked about when Moyes was around.
Personally I think Jack Grealish is the best player in that league and seems to have matured. Should be a Premier league player

Will probably watch a bit more Championship football as the season heats up.
Haven’t seen this bloke who is scoring goals at Hull at all

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Jarrod Bowen at Hull looks impressive every time I watch the EFL highlights or catch a match report on the radio.

Blistering pace and a lethal left foot...he has scored more goals in 2 seasons at that level than Jordan Hugill has in his entire career

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Bowen is 22 and 5ft 9
Under contract at Hull until June 2020
Cardiff tried to get him in as a late replacement for Sala but understandably he thought that was a bit of an uncomfortable situation to go into

Interesting stats and according to them Jack Grealish (Villa), Emiliano Buendia (Norwich), Che Adams (Birmingham), Jarrod Bowen (Hull), Neal Maupay (Brentford) and Said Benrahma (Brentford) are worth scouting

Only looked at the offensive stats. Goals and assists.

Barty 1:29 Sun Mar 17
Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
and the overall rating of course, but not the defensive stats.

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
I have a feeling that our foreign management wont be looking in the championship, more foreigners coming in we never heard of or some that make out they do!

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
It would be stupidity by Pellegrini if he doesn't at least scout the championship imo

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Jack Grealish is by far the best footballer in the Championship and arguably the only one worth getting, but we don't have the money

How much are we talking NB?

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Barty in the summer Tottenham were sniffing and bid £25 million but were told no deal so walked away, Grealish fancied the move even though he's a Villa lad, if they stay down I'd offer them the same again to see if there's an interest, he's a top player

Barty 2:52 Sun Mar 17
Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
According to Wiki he´s a winger/attacking midfielder and we have good players in these positions at the moment and I belive a athletic technical centre midfielder is the priority along with the Arnie replacement of course..

Hopefully the 25 million rumoured transfer budget is bullshit,

Barty 2:58 Sun Mar 17
Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
But if there is still enough to spend after getting 2 full backs, CM and the strikers then I would be glad to see Grealish here...

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Barty I can't see us having enough for two full backs never mind the rest, we can always hope but you know what they say about hope

I'm an eternal optimist and choose to believe more of the same this summer as the last. :)

Hopefully Ben Johnson will come through next season ,so that may be one full back issue solved

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
Maddison was the one to get last season rather than the showpony Grealish. As it happens we have Lanzini and Nasri who are streets ahead of both.

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
We should break the bank to get Grealish, a proper footballer with bags of talent

Villa are on a run...I suspect they will be the form team going into the play-offs. I can see them doing it.

Re: Anyone from the Championship clubs worth getting?
I don't watch this shitty league but there must be a few young players with potential worth keeping an eye on.
